Amazon Web Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager to join our Public Sector team in Ottawa. The territory covers a portfolio of Federal customers. You will be responsible for developing and managing a sales pipeline, delivering on account strategies, identifying and building relationships with key decision makers, working with internal stakeholders and cross functional teams to create and present compelling solutions that drive great customer outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, adaptable, articulate, passionate about creating great customer outcomes, a great teammate, and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with a Principal Account Executive to Increase adoption of AWS cloud services in a defined territory
  • Utilize internal resources to drive customer outcomes
  • Increase revenue across a portfolio of customers
  • Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business
  • Create and articulate a compelling value propositions to customers
  • Analyze sales / metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy
  • Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement - Build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategy
  • Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities
  • Assist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud services
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering / consulting or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with technology platform sales with an understanding of government IT, data centers, cloud services and cloud adoption
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience with government procurement and contracting process
