Job description

ChampionX has an immediate need for a n Paintline Machine Operator at Alberta Oil Tool located in Edmonton , AB, Canada. This is your opportunity to join a growing company offering a competitive base salary and benefits.

What You Will Do:

  • Remove Sucker Rods from the Paintline machine after they have been painted

  • Perform quality inspections

  • Sort, crate, and package material to be shipped to the customer

  • Use the strapping gun to band the material together

  • Perform minor machine adjustments and maintenance

  • Complete all associated paperwork, including, but not limited to, quality plans and cleaning plans

  • Assist crane operators with the strapping/rigging of crates

  • Clean working area, including cleaning & controlling any paint spillage

  • Work in a safe manner, follow all rules, regulations, and legislation

  • Follow Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement guidelines

Position Details:

  • Working at the South Edmonton Sucker Rod facility exclusively

  • Permanent

  • Full-time

  • Rotating shift between day and afternoon shift (night shift may be required dependent on business conditions)

  • Weekend shift may be required dependent on business conditions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Reliable

  • Able to follow directions from other personnel

  • Able to prioritize

  • Able to work in a team environment and with others

  • Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English

  • Available for overtime or shift work as needed

Pre-employment Requirements:

  • Pre-employment testing including drug & alcohol, vision, auditory, background check and physical demands assessment required upon hire

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours/day
