A local educational institution in Ottawa is seeking a Painter for the Facilities Maintenance Department. The role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques, relevant certifications, and 5 years of experience in residential or commercial buildings. Successful candidates will work independently to maintain school facilities and ensure safety and compliance with standards. This is a full-time position with hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, offering a competitive salary range.

Position Status : Regular, 100%
Work Year : Works 12 months per year
Hours of Work : Monday to Friday, Eight (8) consecutive hours between 2:30 pm and 11:00 pm, excluding an unpaid meal period of up to one hour; 40 hours per week
Salary range : $35.31 to $36.54 per hour ($73,439 to $75,998 per year)
Under the direction of the Team Lead or designate, the Painter performs a variety of duties related to the general painting and decorating of school buildings, furniture and equipment, lining gym floors; ensuring work is performed in a safe and effective manner, complying with Board and legislative standards and codes; ensuring Board vehicles, equipment and tools are properly maintained; performing other related duties to ensure that properties, facilities, and equipment are properly maintained.
