Job summary

Linamar Corporation (Salford Group) is seeking a Night Shift Painter Blaster I to paint and blast components for agricultural machinery. You will load/unload frames, maintain records, and ensure quality on the paint line under supervisor guidance.

The role requires 1–2 years of industrial painting experience, WHMIS and safety training, and the ability to operate cranes and power tools. Strong teamwork and organized work habits are essential.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one to two years of industrial painting in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of wet paint techniques and a basic understanding of paint equipment is considered an asset.
  • Work as a member of a team in a production line and collaborate with one another to resolve quality problems as needed.
  • Take safety courses, such as WHMIS training, and proper use of respirators and safety equipment as needed.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane/forklift and move large parts on monorail independently.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with assistance.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently without supervision.
  • Must communicate effectively both written and verbal.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by production supervisor.

Job description

Note: This role is a Night Shift position and pays a premium of $2.20

Job Summary:

The Painter Blaster I role is responsible for painting parts for the painting of various parts for agricultural machinery.

Responsibility:

Ability to blast and paint all Salford frames and products evenly as per Salford’s quality standards.

Ability to train other/new employees on proper painting/blasting procedures, including equipment.

Ensure quality standards are met with all products leaving the paint line.

Ability to load and unload frames.

Maintain detailed records pertaining to projects including; mil readings, paint consumption, and ambient environment readings.

Follow all health and safety procedures as outlined in the hourly employee handbook anddepartmental safety procedures.

Clean and maintain personal painting, ventilation, blast equipment and personal protective equipment.

Take direction from assembly & paint supervisor as needed for specific products or projects.

Other duties as assigned by production supervisor.

Academic/Educational Requirements:

A secondary or post-secondary education diploma or equivalent

Highly organized, proactive, can work independently without supervision.

Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal .

Positive attitude that will be a good cultural fit is required.

Maintain clean work areas and equipment
