Position OverviewA Painter at Lydale is responsible for helping those affected by fire or flood damage by rebuilding and restoring areas of homes to their original state. Our reconstruction team seeks individuals skilled in or interested in apprenticing or cross-training in drywall, painting, ceiling texture & installation, or carpentry. We hire employees new to the trades and train them to become versatile team members capable of performing a wide range of tasks. As employees develop, we offer further training to support their ongoing growth.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesPaint
- Site preparation and maintaining cleanliness
- Spraying latex and oils
- Brushing latex and oils
- Rolling latex and oils
- Applying smoke seals
Health and Safety
- Adhering to Canstar’s health and safety practices and procedures
- Maintaining good housekeeping for safe and efficient work
- Understanding safety policies and protocols
- Wearing required PPE on site
Who We Are Looking For
A personable, well-organized individual with attention to detail and excellent data entry skills. Someone professional, capable of interacting effectively with employers and vendors in a fast-paced environment. Key attributes include:
- Physical ability to bend, reach, lift 50 pounds safely and repeatedly, and stand for long periods
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle capable of transporting drywall and attending jobsites (generous vehicle allowance provided)
- Willingness to work overtime and on-call hours as part of a 24/7 emergency services team
- A positive attitude and willingness to serve customers
- Ability to wear PPE, including respirators, for safety
- A clean criminal record related to work and a driver’s abstract with minor infractions
Working Conditions
