Job summary

Norstar Industries Ltd., based in Rosenort, Manitoba, is seeking a Paint Technician for the Paint and Wash team. This full-time, onsite role involves preparing and painting metal components to meet quality, appearance, and safety standards.

The candidate should have prior commercial/manufacturing painting experience and a strong eye for detail. You will operate painting equipment, follow drawings and procedures, and participate in cross-training.

Full-Time | Permanent | Onsite | 40 Hours per Week

Norstar Industries Ltd. is a family-owned manufacturer based in Rosenort, Manitoba. We build innovative equipment and solutions for agricultural, commercial, and industrial markets, and we take pride in the quality of the products that leave our facility.

We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Paint Technician to join our Paint and Wash team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and painting metal components while ensuring every completed product meets Norstar's standards for quality, appearance, and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial or manufacturing painting experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality results.

What You'll Do

As a Paint Technician, you will:

  • Safely operate painting equipment and follow established procedures
  • Prepare metal surfaces for painting, including cleaning, masking, and surface preparation
  • Apply paint and coatings to meet Norstar's quality and finish standards
  • Follow production drawings and written and verbal work instructions
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Sign off on completed work orders and finished work
  • Maintain painting equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Complete repairs, modifications, and retrofits as required
  • Assist with tracking project and production information
  • Support the training and development of junior employees when needed
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives and weekly team meetings
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and required safety practices
  • Wear and properly use required PPE, including respiratory protection
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Becoming a dependable member of the Paint and Wash team.
