KA GROUP in Rosenort, MB is hiring a Paint Shop Line Lead / Supervisor to oversee daily paint shop operations, ensure targets, quality, and safety. You will lead a team, manage schedules, and drive lean initiatives.

This role requires 3+ years in paint shop/manufacturing, strong knowledge of finishing processes, and solid leadership and communication. Competitive day shift with 10-hour days.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Paint Shop operations and staffing priorities.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards across the paint shop.
  • Monitor KPIs, labor efficiency, and material usage.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Coach team and enforce standards and 5S/Lean practices.
  • Ensure proper documentation and punch-in/out using Genius software.

Salary Range: CA$55,000.00 To CA$65,000.00 Annually

Line lead/supervisor (paint shop)

Schedule/Location of Work:

We are currently hiring for Day Shift Position with a consistent, work-life-friendly schedule:
10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday)
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Based at our facility in Rosenort, MB (just 35 minutes south of Winnipeg)


About the Role:

The Paint Shop Line Lead / Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily paint shop operations and ensuring that production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and company expectations are consistently met.

This role provides leadership and direction to paint shop employees, maintains accountability within the department, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures effective communication and coordination between the Paint Shop, Production, Assembly, Receiving, and Management teams.

key duties and responsibilities
  • Lead daily Paint Shop operations, workflow, staffing, and production priorities.
  • Ensure products meet company quality, finish, and customer standards.
  • Drive safety, cleanliness, organization, efficiency, and employee accountability.
  • Monitor production performance, KPIs, labor efficiency, rework, and material usage.
  • Identify and resolve production, quality, equipment, and workflow issues quickly.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, production data, KPI boards, and operational updates.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and support to minimize downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and other departments.
  • Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable for performance and standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement using Lean principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Standard Work.
  • Ensure that proper documentation is kept for traceability and quality control.
  • Ensure all work orders scheduled are properly punch in/out using the Genius software.
  • Effective time management is expected daily to achieve efficiencies and expected output.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • 3+ years of experience in a paint shop, manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial painting, finishing processes, paint equipment, and quality standards.
  • Experience troubleshooting paint defects, equipment issues, and production problems.
  • Understanding of production schedules, labor efficiency, KPIs, and quality control.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, cleanliness, and employee accountability.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Paint Shop Lead, Supervisor, Team Lead, or Production Lead.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, or PDCA is an asset.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Any previous experience within a manufacturing setting
