Job summary

Fidelity Canada is seeking a Paid Social Manager to lead performance-driven campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and beyond. You will craft platform-specific strategies, own audience targeting, and collaborate with analytics, creative, and agency partners to drive efficiency and growth.

You will manage budgets, test new formats, and stay ahead of trends while coordinating with internal teams to align with annual plans and business goals.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a digital advertising role, preferably paid social execution.
  • University degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in paid social and YouTube.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Financial services experience and media agency exposure are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Social Designer and teams to align paid social strategy with campaign goals.
  • Develop platform-specific paid social briefs for agency partners.
  • Use Adobe Analytics and data platforms to uncover audience insights for targeting.
  • Collaborate with agencies to ensure the right media mix, budget allocation, and tactics.

Paid Social Manager

The Opportunity

The Paid Social Manager is a hands‑on role focused on driving performance through content, audience strategy, and platform innovation.

  • Executes and optimizes paid social campaigns across platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit, and emerging platforms.
  • Leads development of platform‑specific strategies and tactics, tailoring content to each platform and audience behaviours.
  • Owns audience segmentation and targeting, continuously testing and refining to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Manages platform budgets, monitors pacing, and identifies opportunities to scale successful initiatives.
  • Collaborates with creative, data analytics, corporate affairs, digital marketing teams, and agency partners to ensure insight‑driven campaigns align with business goals.
  • Explores new ad formats, beta opportunities, and emerging trends to keep the business at the forefront of paid social innovation.
What You Will Do
  • Partner closely with Social Designer, Manager of Paid Social Strategy, Digital Marketing, Advertising, and Content Marketing teams to align paid social strategy with creative direction and campaign goals.
  • Develop detailed, platform‑specific paid social briefs for agency partners reflecting brand and performance objectives.
  • Use tools such as Adobe Analytics and other data platforms to uncover audience insights and inform targeting strategies for key investor segments.
  • Work with agency partners to ensure the right media mix, budget allocation, and platform tactics are in place to meet campaign objectives and deliver strong performance.
Operational Expertise
  • Stay current on emerging formats, algorithm changes, and user behaviour to keep Fidelity’s paid social presence competitive.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices through regular check‑ins with platform partners.
Budget Reconciliation and Management
  • Work closely with external partners to ensure timely invoicing and monthly reconciliation of billing and payments.
  • Collaborate with Manager, Paid Social Strategy to keep paid social budget on track, ensuring accurate pacing, efficient spend, and alignment to ad plans.
Execute Against Annual Business Plan
  • Support presentations to obtain buy‑in and alignment from the executive team and key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic insights, anticipating environmental changes that could impact platform performance.
  • Contribute to budget setting on an annual and quarterly basis.

  • Experience with ad platforms including Meta, Google Ads/DV360, Reddit, LinkedIn, TikTok, SnapChat.
  • Experience building detailed paid social strategies and tactics, preferably in the financial services sector.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in a digital advertising role, preferably in paid social execution.
  • University degree with a focus in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in paid social and YouTube.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Financial services experience is a strong asset.
  • Media agency experience is a strong asset.
  • Adobe Analytics skill is an asset.

Competitive compensation package: Base salary range $99,000 to $111,000, plus discretionary performance bonus. RRSP contribution after 6 months. Provincial pay transparency requirements met.
