Job summary

Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist & Therapy Team Lead role within the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Perseid special schools in Sutton alliance. You will lead a highly specialist paediatric physiotherapy service for children with severe and complex needs, coordinating assessments, treatment plans and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly specialist level of clinical skill in paediatric physiotherapy
• Be responsible for a clinical caseload of children attending Perseid special schools as identified by the service specification
• Use clinical assessments, interview and observational skills to determine physiotherapy needs and set goals and plan intervention
• Communicate complex assessment findings and treatment plans with clients, families, school staff and wider community staff
• Assess and treat children with complex needs in school, home or clinical settings as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Provide written advice for EHCPs and contribute to Annual Reviews
• Monitor effectiveness of intervention through goals and evaluation of practice
• Contribute to development of information to help families and schools understand and self-manage conditions
• Recommend and advise on equipment related to physiotherapy programmes and organise equipment demonstrations
