Job summary

Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario, invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) on a casual basis. The role requires current RN registration with CNO, and clinical PACU experience, with shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN.
• Two+ years of recent PACU experience (required).
• Course or certificate in PACU nursing (required or in progress).
• Completed critical care nursing program with arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, CVP lines and respirators knowledge.
• Experience with Epidural and PCA pumps for pain management.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• I.V. therapy knowledge is required.
• Attentive attendance and punctuality; post-diploma study or BScN preferred.
