Job description

We are looking for a Packing Production Operatives to join our friendly Day Shift Packing teams! Starting Salary is £12.50 per hour with an enhanced rate of £15.63 per hour. Enhanced rate is for hours between 8pm and 6am and for hours over 37.5 per week.

07 : 30-16 : 00 (with 2 x 30 minutes unpaid breaks), Monday to Friday

Are you ready to be a vital part of our dynamic packing team? Our dedicated team ensures that our finished products are expertly packed according to precise product specifications, all while meeting the unique needs of our valued customers. For this role you will need to be IT literate and happy to stand for the majority of your shift.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Product Quality Assurance : Your role involves ensuring the quality of the product by meticulously checking for the right size, shape, and adherence to product specifications.
  • Packing Process : You'll be responsible for efficiently packing finished products into boxes, precisely following the product specification.
  • Conveyor Belt Operation : Placing full boxes onto the packing conveyor belt is part of your responsibility, where the boxes proceed to be securely taped shut, weighed, and accurately labelled.
  • Box Assembly and Maintenance : You'll also be responsible for assembling boxes, as well as changing tape reels and printer reels to maintain seamless packing operations.
  • Packing Robots : Depending on the product line, you may have the exciting opportunity to program and set up our state-of-the-art Packing Robots. This includes optimizing the spacing of pastries to ensure precise detection by the robot and rechecking any products rejected by the robot.
  • Palletising and Wrapping : Your role extends to palletizing and wrapping completed boxes of product, preparing them for dispatch in strict accordance with product specifications.
