Job description

We are seeking a Packer to join our shipping and receiving team, responsible for preparing a wide range of parts—including automotive wheels and aerospace components—for shipment. This role involves careful handling, wrapping, and packing of parts into boxes, crates, and pallets according to specific work instructions. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a team environment to ensure products are packed securely and meet customer and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pack finished parts—such as wheels and space components—into boxes, crates, and onto pallets using appropriate materials.
  • Follow work orders, packing instructions, and labeling requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Work as part of a team of packers to meet daily packing and shipping goals.
  • Wrap and secure parts using foam, shrink wrap, straps, and protective materials to prevent damage during transit.
  • Perform visual inspections for damage, cleanliness, or packaging defects prior to final pack-out.
  • Assist in preparing parts for domestic and international shipments, including applying shipping labels and completing paperwork when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized packing area and comply with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged parts to supervisors.
  • Use basic tools and material handling equipment (such as pallet jacks or carts) as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience in packing, shipping, or warehouse work is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, labels, and job travelers accurately.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly and working on your feet throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Basic math and communication skills.

Job Type & Pay

  • Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
  • Pay Range: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (8-hour shift)
  • Expected Hours: 40 hours per week (plus overtime as needed)
