From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.

Your Role

As a Packer, the successful candidate will report to the Assistant Head Miller and will support the operations, performing his / her duties in a safe and timely manner within the Mill.

Day to Day

12 hours shifts, working 4 on and 4 off with a Night / Day rotation which includes working weekends.

• Safely weigh, pack, load, and handle flour products.
• Operate tote filling, packer systems, stretch wrap machines, and mill equipment.
• Conduct product quality checks (NIR), equipment inspections, and minor repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the plant; follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols.
• Complete safety training and comply with all regulatory and safety requirements.
• Perform CCP checks, including metal detectors and magnets.
• Assist packers, operate forklifts safely, and support production schedules.
• Report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Head Miller.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in a general laborer position and manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Must be able to safely lift and stack 25kg bags.
• Must be able to work in an environment that is exposed to dust.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work shiftwork (12 hours shifts, working 4 on and 4 off with a Night / Day rotation which includes working weekends).
