Job summary

Alte-Rego Corporation in Etobicoke, ON, is hiring a Packager – manufacturing who is self-motivated and has strong interpersonal skills. The position is permanent, full-time with various shifts including day, evening, night, early morning and morning.

The successful candidate will transport materials, weigh items, pack and crate products, and assist machine operators and other workers. You must be able to work in a dusty, odorous, hot or cold environment and in a noisy setting while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English.
• Secondary school graduation certificate required.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience.
• Lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Punctual, dependable and a team player.
• Able to work in odourous, dusty, hot/cold environments.
• Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout the plant manually or with powered equipment.
• Check and weigh materials and products.
• Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products.
• Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers.
• Perform other labouring and elemental activities.
• Clean machines and surrounding work areas.
