We are looking for a Packaging Operator 2 to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Regina, SK.

We are looking for a Packaging Operator to work with a team of operators in the packaging department to safely, responsibly, and efficiently package high quality agricultural products for BASF’s customers.

As a Packaging Operator 2, you create chemistry by...

  1. Supporting and complying with all RCMS and ISO requirements for the Regina site including completing all departmental and EHS training (online, classroom, SOP’s) to identify and mitigate all safety risks and control measures within the packaging department. Reporting near misses and participating in incident investigations when required.
  2. Maintaining high quality standards when producing finished goods in the packaging department through pallet inspections, product change overs, line setup, drain downs, rinsing, packaging material screening, in-line inspections, inventory control, and cycle counts.
  3. Monitoring and adjusting the packaging equipment to ensure proper function, troubleshooting and reporting issues to Operator 1.
  4. Communicating with the packaging team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely transfer of information to enable plant operations to continue effectively and efficiently to meet production schedule targets.
  5. Continuously improving, maintaining and monitoring a high level of housekeeping within the team. Remaining open to cross-training and other self-development opportunities to build a competent knowledge base for equipment on all packaging lines.

If you have...

  1. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. 2 – 5 years of experience in a production environment.
  3. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  4. Computer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are key.
  5. SAP or similar ERP system experience is strongly preferred.
  6. Ability to set priorities and make decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  7. Lean / Six Sigma training considered an asset.
