SALARY: $25.02

  • Ability to earn shift premiums
  • Night shift: $1.10/hr
  • Potential premiums for First Aid & Forklift certifications

SHIFTS:

  • Nights: 10pm-6:30am (Sunday to Thursday)
  • Weekend overtime possibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate high-speed production machinery, including mechanical troubleshooting
  • Perform product changeovers, CIPs on the can filler, and equipment sanitation
  • Track packaging materials for usage/loss rates, maintain packaging machine performance logs, and participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Perform regular quality control checks, ensuring that product is produced within specifications
  • Ensure all company-issued policies/SOPs are followed
  • Manual and repetitive lifting, stacking, and rotating
  • Other duties may be assigned as required



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent (proof required). Post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Exceptional performance, discipline and attendance record
  • Ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively with co-workers
  • Positive attitude
  • Comfortable with Afternoon and Night shifts
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn supply chain related computer software
  • Engage in physical activities and manual labor as requested, including but not limited to: prolonged standing, walking, lifting pushing, twisting, pulling and bending
  • Lift object up to 50 lbs
  • Work in an enclosed environment
  • Climb a ladder/stairs
  • Work on slippery floor
  • Lift objects higher than the shoulders
  • Operate motorized equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Exposure to noise
  • Exposure to vibration.
  • Participate in the hearing conservation program.
  • Ability to wear all PPE as required: including safety shoes, glasses, bump cap (plastic insert), hearing protection (jewelry must be taken off)
  • Able to work shift work (Day, afternoons, and midnights)
