Job description

In continuing our journey of resilience, we are recruiting for Packaging Operators. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a desire to excel in a manufacturing environment. This is a unique opportunity for confident, detail-oriented individuals, who demonstrate flexibility and the initiative to learn new tasks.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Post-Secondary program is required
• Certification or Diploma in the following would be an asset: Manufacturing Engineering Technician or Process Control Technician
• You have computer skills and a mechanical aptitude
• You are willing to learn to operate and troubleshoot highly automated, state-of-the-art machinery
• You are a self-starter and have the ability to think outside the box, work hard, and interact well with others
• Willingness to work rotating, 8-hour shifts including overnight and weekends

Responsibilities

• You take pride in the product we produce and are responsible for Quality and Productivity
• You follow the Checks and Procedures within the SOPs
• You are responsible for Pre-Start, Start-up, Shutdown, Safety / Emergency Shutdown, Changeovers, General Safety
• We are all responsible for Cleaning and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• You ensure adequate Consumable Supply for the all the Machines and Positions with-in the production facility
• You perform set-ups, changeovers, monitors performance, troubleshooting and completes minor adjustments/lubrications to ensure peak performance of machines
• Ensure all Machines and all Work areas are kept clean, details in specific Machine Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
