Packaging Engineer (CFOJ)

This is an onsite packaging engineer need in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects for top and bottom line growth.
  • Lead, inspire and motivate R&D talent and colleagues.
  • Indirectly manage internal and external resources to advance projects in a systematic, timely and technically rigorous fashion.
  • Arrange packaging evaluations and consumer handling panels.
  • Serve as technical and program subject matter expert internally and externally.
  • Field, respond to and record results of requests for technical support, especially from production factories and customers.
  • Create, manage and approve specifications.
  • Create and document approaches for, and results of, experimental and commercial trials.
  • Work with packaging suppliers and other suppliers.

Candidate Requirements
  • BS in Packaging or related fields.
  • 3-5 years minimum experience in Packaging R&D for CPG, Food & Beverage or related industries.
  • Good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Prior experience managing/coaching and developing of talent.
  • Strong record of cross-functional team leadership defining and delivering project plans, especially with R&D, Supply Chain, and Marketing team members.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and, occasionally, internationally (up to 30% travel).
