Job summary

A company in Canada is seeking a freelance packaging production designer and prepress specialist to support our internal team on an ongoing basis. We work primarily on beverage labels in Adobe Illustrator, with established dielines and printing requirements.

You will prepare 40–50 label files for commercial printing, handling Pantone colors, trapping, overprint settings, dielines, varnish and foil layers, barcodes and final print-ready PDFs, with emphasis on reliable turnaround times.

Packaging Designer is needed in Canada.

We are a Quebec-based beverage manufacturer looking for a freelance packaging production designer and prepress specialist to support our internal team on an ongoing basis. We work mainly on beverage labels in Adobe Illustrator, with creative direction, designs and dielines already established.

You will prepare approximately 40–50 label files for commercial printing, following printer specifications. This includes Pantone spot colours, trapping, pullbacks, overprint settings, dielines, varnish and foil layers, barcodes, and final print-ready PDFs. Experience with food and beverage packaging is important. We need support as soon as possible, with reliable turnaround times and availability for ongoing work.

We are a Quebec-based beverage manufacturer working with multiple retail partners in Canada and the U.S. We manage several juice, smoothie, sparkling beverage and private-label product lines, and we regularly create or adapt packaging and label artwork for different formats and customers.
We are currently looking for a freelance packaging production designer / prepress specialist who can support our internal team with print-ready label files, artwork adaptations, dielines, Pantone colors, trapping, overprint, varnish/foil layers, barcodes and final production PDFs.
Most of the creative direction is already established; the main need is reliable production support and technical preparation of files for commercial printing.
