Job summary

Bimeda is seeking a Packager in Cambridge, Ontario, to ensure product quality during manual packaging per cGMP and SOP requirements. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and offers day shifts Monday to Friday. Compensation starts at $26.10/hour with a $26.65/hour probationary increase.

Responsibilities include packaging bottles 50ml–1000ml, inspecting for defects, documenting activities, and maintaining GMP standards. Health benefits and pension are offered.

Qualifications

• GMP packaging experience preferred in a pharma packaging/manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Packager is responsible for ensuring the product meets quality standards during manual packaging operations and packing product in compliance with cGMP and SOP requirements.

Compensation: $26.10/Hour. After completion of probation: $26.65/Hour

Job Duties

• To manually package the plastic and glass bottles ranging from 50ml to 1000ml in size.
• Place bottles in an individual carton with insert and package the cartons in shipper, tape the shipper, apply labels and arrange on the skid.
• Inspect all products for visual defects during packaging process to ensure quality and cGMP compliance.
• Perform and document the cleaning of packaging areas to ensure readiness for the next usage.
• Visual acuity (including with corrective lenses) required to check the lot number and bottles for cleanliness.
• Documentation of all activities performed.
• Ensures that all work is carried out in compliance with company Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Data Integrity Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Reports any accidents, incidents and injuries or illnesses immediately and notifies manager of any hazards, unsafe acts, or conditions in the workplace.

Technical/Physical & Behavioural Abilities

• 1 – 3 years experiences, preferably in a GMP pharmaceutical packaging & manufacturing facility.
• High School Diploma required.
• Good basic math skills.
• Good command of the English Language, verbal, reading and writing.
• Strong hand & eye coordination manual dexterity, some repetitive movements and standing for long periods.
• Able to lift and move up to 10lbs and occasionally up to 30lbs.
• High integrity, team player, flexibility in working overtime, responsible, reliable, with good attention to details, good problem-solving skills.
