Job summary

Arabelle Solutions in Toronto, Canada, seeks a Procurement and Project Communications Lead to act as the single point of contact with suppliers during Purchase Order execution. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Procurement, Quality) and drive package activities to meet milestones and contractual schedules.

This role requires strong stakeholder management, English fluency, and experience with nuclear project environments.

Qualifications

  • Master’s in Management or Engineering degree or equivalent required.
  • Fluent English required; French is a plus.
  • Solid experience in Procurement, Project Management, Contract Management, Quality, or Engineering within industrial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for supplier communications during Purchase Order execution.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams with project stakeholders.
  • Drive and coordinate package activities, define priorities, monitor status, and ensure objectives.
  • Arbitrate between stakeholders and make decisions when necessary.
  • Monitor documentation delivery and support key milestones (qualification, release, delivery).
  • Lead supplier meetings, prepare MoMs, identify blockers, assign actions and deadlines.
  • Monitor supplier schedules, mitigate delays, and support claims and change orders.
  • Conduct regular supplier site visits to assess progress and resolve issues.
  • Provide ongoing support to team members on supplier-related issues.

Job description

  • Act as the single point of contact for all communications with supplier(s) during the execution of Purchase Orders.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Procurement, Quality), with support from Project stakeholders (Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Project Procurement & Logistics Manager, Project Contract Manager).
  • Drive and coordinate Package Team activities to:
  • Define priorities and strategies
  • Monitor package status
  • Establish and execute action plans
  • Ensure achievement of project objectives
  • Arbitrate between stakeholders and make decisions when necessary.
  • Ensure timely delivery and approval of documentation by:
  • Coordinating with Engineering and Quality teams and supplier(s)
  • Monitoring document submission and approval status
  • Supporting key project milestones (qualification, manufacturing release, delivery)
  • Protect and strengthen the company’s position with suppliers by applying contractual and commercial leverage in line with Purchase Order conditions.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with suppliers (e.g. progress meetings), including:
  • Preparation of Minutes of Meeting (MoMs)
  • Identification of blocking points
  • Assignment of responsibilities and deadlines
  • Monitor supplier schedules and overall progress, coordinating closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Support the supplier in schedule preparation when required, including integration of project milestones and gates.
  • Identify risks and delays and implement mitigation plans, including:
  • Delay notifications
  • Definition of corrective actions
  • Recovery to contractual schedule
  • Conduct regular visits to supplier premises to:
  • Assess progress
  • Resolve issues
  • Strengthen collaboration
  • Support in the preparation of claims and counterclaims.
  • Contribute to, and when required, lead Change Order negotiations.
  • Provide continuous support to team members dealing with supplier-related issues.

  • On-time and complete delivery of materials as per Purchase Orders.
  • Timely achievement of intermediate milestones (documentation, manufacturing release, issue resolution).
  • Accuracy, quality, and timeliness of reporting.
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
  • Master’s in Management or Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Solid experience in Procurement, Project Management, Contract Management, Quality, or Engineering within industrial projects
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems & heat exchangers (Nuclear Conventional Island)
  • Experience in quality standards, planning & scheduling, and basic commercial/contractual topics
  • Fluent English required, French is a plus
  • Nuclear project experience is an advantage
