Job summary

Intelcom in Vaughan, Canada, is seeking a warehouse sorter to unload trailers, verify freight, and sort parcels according to the plan. This fast-paced role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and constant attention to safety.

You will use handheld devices to scan and prepare orders, participate in safety checks, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Availability for 4 days weekly (3 weekdays + 1 weekend) with flexible shifts is expected.

Salary Range

$20.35 - $22.18 .

Core Duties

• Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests
• Unload freight manually into manual and powered conveyors
• Use power/ manual jacks to organize, receive shipments, and feed the sort lines. (Mandatory training, certify)
• Organize the sort setup as per the sort plan.
• Load, sort, scan, and handle parcels according to the sort plan.
• Perform package audits as required
• Operate technology and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
• Place packages in designated areas for the delivery or Linehaul team. (Hub and Stations)
• Stage the sorted freight in the designated load out area as per the station layout
• Complete related tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages. (Hub and Middle Mile)
• Validate the scanned and sorted freight to ensure sorting efficiency (reduce the mis-sorts).
• Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and safety inspections.
• Lift up to 50 pounds / 23 kg.
• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Fast-paced warehouse setting with shift-based schedules.

Shift start time: 3:0 AM

Minimum shift duration: Generally 3 hours per day , based on operational workload

Regular shifts may extend to 4-6 hours as operational needs require

During peak periods, approximately two weeks in July and from mid-October through January , shifts may increase to 5-7 hours

Availability Requirement: Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 4 days per week , including 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day
