Job summary

FedEx Logistics in the Niagara Region is seeking a Package Handler to load and unload freight, scan and sort packages, and move shipments within and between facilities in a fast-paced operation.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lb (and up to 150 lb with equipment) and a valid G license with a clean driving record. Training will cover loading/unloading techniques and safe handling practices, with shifts Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 6 months of experience as a Package Handler (Preferred)
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations (Preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver up to 150 lbs with equipment
• Must possess a valid G license and have a good driving record

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight within the facility
• Scan, sort and palletize freight for movement
• Transport freight within and between facilities
• Train other Package Handlers on loading/unloading techniques
• Ensure safe and efficient movement of packages through the operation
