Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking a Package Handler to assist with various freight operations. The role includes loading, unloading, and sorting packages as well as training other employees in safe practices. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma and demonstrate relevant physical capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Six months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
  • Valid G license and good driving record required.
  • Knowledge of FedEx operations and Canadian Customs regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight, scan, and sort packages within the facility.
  • Train other Package Handlers on techniques for efficient operation.

Job description

To load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility. To transport freight within and between facilities.

Trains other Package Handlers (PHs) on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
  • FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations (Preferred)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • Valid G license and a good driving record
