Job summary

FedEx Group in Edmonton is seeking a part-time Package Handler to load and unload freight, scan and sort packages, and transport freight between facilities. You may train fellow Package Handlers on loading, unloading and scanning techniques. A High School Diploma is preferred and you must be able to lift up to 150 lbs with equipment. A valid G license and clean driving record are required.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• FedEx Canada operations knowledge preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Must possess a valid G license and have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility.
• Transport freight within and between facilities.
• Train other Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to ensure safe movement of packages.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred)
• Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations - (Preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record
