Job summary

Postmedia Distribution is seeking flexible, hardworking individuals for our growing team in Nova Scotia. The role involves preparing stations for inbound parcels, labeling, scanning, and sorting to ensure accurate distribution.

You will work up to 12-hour shifts, handle lifting up to 50 lbs, and adhere to health and safety guidelines while supporting loading and unloading of trucks.

Reliable transportation and basic English skills are required; warehouse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Reliable transportation to the workplace.
• Basic English proficiency (written and oral).
• Warehouse experience is an asset.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Availability during weekdays and weekends.
• Able to work up to 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare stations for inbound parcels and set up racks, bags, and cages.
• Label items with correct Hub/Sort codes.
• Scan, sort, and place parcels within stations in labeled bags/cages.
• Verify sort codes to prevent missorts.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.
• Maintain health and safety guidelines and dock safety.
• Report supplies, damages and delays to leads.
