Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada is seeking a packaging development specialist to drive end-to-end packaging programs for consumer, OTC or pharmaceutical products. You will lead site transfer projects, collaborate with R&D, and ensure robust packaging systems from primary to tertiary materials.

The role requires extensive GMP experience, working in highly regulated settings, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of considerable industry experience with package development is required.
  • Experience in the Consumer, OTC, or pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • GMP experience is required.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of package materials, equipment, testing and packaging development is required.
  • Lead packaging site transfer projects and manage lifecycle packaging initiatives.
  • Develop materials and structural aspects of packages (primary/secondary/tertiary).
  • Design, create and approve component specifications with R&D collaboration.
  • Lead packaging design development and route documentation for approvals.
  • Lead packaging development projects and coordinate physical testing for product integrity.
  • Lead troubleshooting of packaging issues in manufacturing and field.
  • Execute packaging projects in compliance with guidelines; perform line trials and testing.
  • cGMP working experience and documentation proficiency.
  • Create copy/graphics specs, pallet patterns and finished put-up specs.
  • SAP related tasks including data entry and BOM management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead packaging development projects from planning to approval.
  • Coordinate physical testing to ensure product and package integrity.
  • Oversee packaging line trials and testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with government and corporate guidelines (cGMP).
  • Collaborate with R&D for component design and product changes.
  • Manage packaging documentation and specifications end-to-end.

Required Skills:
  • A minimum of good years of industry experience is required with at least good years of Package Development experience.
  • Specific experience within the Consumer, OTC, or pharmaceutical industry is must.
  • GMP experience is must.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge related to package materials, equipment, testing and package development is required.
  • Execute and Lead Packaging site transfer project so Plan and execute package engineering assignments concerned with large life cycle management initiatives.
  • Engage in the development of the material and structural aspects of packages, including Primary, Secondary & Tertiary materials to ultimately deliver a robust packaging system to the market.
  • Design, Create & approve component specifications. Work closely with R&D for primary components design and product related changes.
  • Lead the package design development and assessment, Develop, write, gain cross-functional alignment, and route for approval package development documentation that captures the end-to-end project specific information. (Examples of documentation: Package Component Specifications, Package Development Assessment and Plan documents, Packaging Line Trial Protocols and Reports, Package Development Reports, etc.)
  • Lead packaging development projects.so Determine and coordinate physical testing to ensure product and package integrity for manufacturing through end users.
  • Lead troubleshooting in the resolution of packaging related issues in manufacturing and the field.
  • Execute packaging projects in compliance with government and corporate guidelines.
  • Execute package line trials and package testing.
  • cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) working experience. cGMP documentation proficiency.
  • Creating: Copy and graphics specification, Pallet patterns and Finished Put-up specifications.
  • SAP related tasks including Data Entry, Raw Material Code requests, Bill Of Material

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
