Job summary

UPS Vars, Ontario is seeking a permanent full-time Package Driver. You will deliver and pick up packages to residential and commercial customers, operate with safety and efficiency, and maintain accurate delivery records. You will wear UPS-approved uniform and badge, and assist with loading and unloading as needed.

Workdays are Monday to Friday with 9:00 start and 8–10 hour shifts. A valid Ontario G license, clean driving record, and ability to lift 70 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg) unassisted.
• Valid Ontario G driver’s license.
• Clean driving record: no at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; no more than 2 violations in 3 years; no violations in last 12 months and <=5 demerit points in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively.
• Learn and properly execute UPS safe and defensive driving methods.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.
• Record, track, and maintain information about delivered packages.
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines by wearing the company-provided vest and uniform.

Job Description:

UPS Package Drivers deliver and pick up packages from residential and/or commercial properties. This role involves driving, continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages in a physical, fast-paced environment. Drivers practice safe transportation methods while traveling to and from destinations, ensuring the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.

Job Type:

Full-Time

Workdays: Monday- Friday

Work Location: 379 Corduroy Road, Vars, Ontario.

Shift Start:

9:00. Typical shifts are 8-10 hours. Flexibility is required for start and end times as work hours vary based on volume for the day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in navigating and finding locations using maps, GPS devices, and map books
• Possession of a valid Ontario G driver’s license
• Clean Driver's Abstract confirming: A) No at-fault accidents within the last 3 years & no more than 2 violations for the previous 3 years period. B) No traffic violations within the last 12 months and 5 Demerit Points for the previous 3 years
• Strong customer service skills

COMPENSATION:

• HOURLY WAGE: $20.00
• Top rate $38.49 after seniority plus 48 months
