United Parcel Service, Inc. in Caledon, Ontario seeks a full-time UPS Package Driver. Deliver and pick up packages from residential/commercial sites, operate in a fast-paced environment, and maintain accurate delivery records.

Must have a valid Ontario G license and be available Tue-Sat with occasional Mondays. Wage starts at $20/hour with opportunities for progression under the union agreement. Work hours are 9:15 AM to 5:15 PM, with flexibility.

Job Description:

U PS Package Drivers deliver and pick up packages from residential and/or commercial properties. This role involves driving and the continual lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Drivers follow safe transportation methods while traveling to and from destinations, ensuring the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.

Job Type: Full -Time Permanent

Work Location: 12424 Dixie Rd, Caledon, ON L7C 2L8

Workdays: Tuesday to Saturday ( Must be available to work all 5 days, with flexibility to work on Mondays if needed )

Shift Start: 9:15 AM - 5:15 PM * **(Flexibility with start and finish times required based on operational needs) ***

Hourly Wage: $20.00/hourly

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively

• Learn and properly execute UPS safe and defensive driving methods

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required

• Record, track, and maintain information about delivered packages

• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines by wearing the company provided vest and uniform

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.

• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong customer service skills

• Proficiency in navigating and finding locations using maps, GPS devices, and map books

• Available to work Tuesday through Saturday with flexibility to work occasional Mondays

• Possession of a valid Ontario G driver’s license

• Clean Driver's Abstract confirming: a ) No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) b) No accidents and maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• HOURLY WAGE: $20.00/hourly

• G uaranteed wage progression through Union Collective Agreement to $42.33 per hour after 48 months of service

EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month)

• A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS)

• Exposed to hot and cold temperatures while working outdoors and in warehouse facilities

• Wear a company-provided uniform and adhere to the company’s appearance guidelines
