Job summary

UPS Package Drivers at 12424 Dixie Rd, Caledon, ON L7C 2L8 deliver and pick up packages from residential and commercial properties in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. You will follow UPS safety methods and provide excellent customer service during daily routes.

This is a full-time permanent role with 9:15 AM–5:15 PM shifts (flexible start/finish). The position offers a wage progression and benefits through UPS, with weekly direct deposit pay and opportunities for advancement.

Job Description:

UPS Package Drivers deliver and pick up packages from residential and/or commercial properties. This role involves driving and the continual lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Drivers follow safe transportation methods while traveling to and from destinations, ensuring the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.

Workdays:

Tuesday to Saturday ( Must be available to work all 5 days, with flexibility to work on Mondays if needed )

Shift Start:

9:15 AM - 5:15 PM * (Flexibility with start and finish times required based on operational needs) *

Hourly Wage:

$20.00/hourly

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively
• Learn and properly execute UPS safe and defensive driving methods
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required
• Record, track, and maintain information about delivered packages
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines by wearing the company provided vest and uniform

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Proficiency in navigating and finding locations using maps, GPS devices, and map books
• Available to workTuesday throughSaturday with flexibility to work occasional Mondays
• Possession of a valid Ontario G driver’s license
• Clean Driver’s Abstract confirming: a ) No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) b) No accidents and maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• HOURLY WAGE: $20.00/hourly
• G uaranteed wage progression through Union Collective Agreement to $42.33 per hour after 48 months of service

EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month)
• A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS)
• Exposed to hot and cold temperatures while working outdoors and in warehouse facilities
• Wear a company-provided uniform and adhere to the company’s appearance guidelines
