UPS Canada is seeking a permanent-full-time Package Delivery Driver in Barrie, Ontario. The role involves outdoor work, lifting 25–35 lbs (up to 70 lbs in some cases), customer contact, and driving. Workdays are Monday to Friday with a 9:00 AM start and 8–10 hour shifts.

Qualifications include a valid Ontario G license, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and a clean driving record. Wage starts at $20.00/hr with progression through the union, rising to $35.78/hr after seniority.

Job Description:

The Package Delivery Driver position is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. Package Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills. Qualified applicants must have a valid driver's G or higher license issued in the state of Ontario. Package Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided vest/uniform.

Job Type: Permanent-Full-Time

Work Location: 474 Welham Rd, Barrie, L4N 8Z4

Workdays: Monday to Friday

Shift Start: 9:00AM (Flexibility required)

Shift Duration: 8-10 hours per day

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deliver and pick-up packages in an efficient and effective manner
• Follow and execute company-established safe/defensive driving methods
• Assist with loading/unloading the trucks as required
• Record, track and maintain information about delivered packages

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg)
• Ability to read and navigate with maps/map books
• Valid Ontario G Driver's License
• Clean Driver's Abstract showing: a) No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) b) No accidents and maximum 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)

Compensation and Benefits:

• Wage: $20.00/hr guaranteed wage progression through Union Collective Agreement - $35.78 per hour after seniority plus 48 months of service.
