Job summary

UPS is seeking a permanent Package Delivery Driver in Concord, Ontario. The role involves delivering and picking up packages, requiring physical effort, strong customer service, and safe driving.

You will operate Tuesday to Saturday, starting around 9:15–9:30 AM, with 8–10 hour shifts outdoors and in warehouses. You must have a valid Ontario G license, a clean driving record, and be comfortable lifting up to 70 lbs.

Job Description:

The Package Delivery Driver position is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. Package Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills. Qualified applicants must have a valid driver’s G or higher license issued in the state of Ontario. Package Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided vest/uniform.

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: 2900 Steeles Ave W, Concord, ON, L4K 3S2

Workdays: Tuesday to Saturday

Shift Start: Tuesday 9:30AM & Saturday 9:15AM (Flexibility with Start and Finish times required)

Shift Duration: 8-10 hours per day

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively
• Learn and properly execute UPS safe and defensive driving methods
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required
• Record, track, and maintain information about delivered packages
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines by wearing the company provided vest and uniform

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Proficiency in navigating and finding locations using maps, GPS devices, and map books
• Available to workTuesday throughSaturday with flexibility to work occasional Mondays
• Possession of a valid Ontario G driver’s license
• Clean Driver's Abstract confirming: a ) No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) b) No accidents and maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• HOURLY WAGE: $20.00/hourly
• Guaranteed wage progression through Union Collective Agreement to $35.89 per hour after 48 months of service

EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month)
• A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS)

• Wear a company-provided uniform and adhere to the company’s appearance guidelines
