Canadian Natural is seeking a Senior Production Accountant to join our PA Resource team in Calgary. You will own full-cycle production accounting responsibilities, including volumetrics submissions, revenue and royalty analyses, and government reporting across a diverse asset portfolio.

The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and continuous learning as you engage with SME colleagues to drive efficient processes. Relocation and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production and revenue accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with CAPPA certification.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Understanding of production accounting cycle and deadlines.
• Experience in oil & gas or mining environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze production data and confirm pipeline deliveries.
• Prepare Oil, NGL, and gas sales splits and submit reports to Petrinex and communicate with partners.
• Analyze and record revenues, royalties & processing charges.
• Review internal control and exception reports and respond to queries.
• Collaborate with the field to meet government compliance requirements.
• Project work assigned.

Key Accountabilities:

• Gather and analyze production data and confirm pipeline deliveries
• Prepare Oil, NGL, and gas sales splits and submit Volumetric, SAF/OAF, APMC and other required reports to Petrinex and communicate with partners
• Analyze and record revenues, royalties & processing charges
• Review and provide comments on internal control and exception reports and respond to internal and external queries in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the field to meet government compliance requirements on EPAP & CAI and resolve Crown discrepancies as they relate to the property
• Project work assigned

What You Bring to the Role:

• A degree in Accounting or Business Administration and registration or eligibility of registration with CAPPA (Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting) Certification
• 8+ years of production and revenue accounting experience
• Self-starter with strong analytical, account reconciliation, problem solving, organizational and Excel skills
• Understanding of production accounting cycle and deadlines
• Working in an oil and gas or mining environment would be an asset
