A regional engineering firm in Metro Vancouver is seeking a SCADA Systems Designer to work on electrical utility substation projects. Responsibilities include preparing engineering deliverables and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, experience with SCADA design, and be a registered Professional Engineer in BC. This is a contract role with potential extension based on performance.
This role requires experience with the design, configuration, testing and troubleshooting of SCADA systems in electrical utility substations with operating voltages from 12kV to 500kV. Demonstrated experience working with utility SCADA systems design, including the design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of GE RTU products (i.e. GE D400, D20, D200, D25, IBOX), Ethernet networks, DNP3 protocol, Modbus Plus protocol, and protocol test equipment and software and other similar systems used in electrical utility substations.
The work is focused on SCADA systems used in transmission stations with operating voltages from 12kV to 500kV.

This role requires regular or occasional attendance and as such will be subject to the company's Contractor Vaccination Policy. This policy requires all contractor resources to be fully vaccinated by January 10, 2022 or prior to the work assignment start date whichever date is later.
Initial contract Jan 2022 - Dec 2022, likely to extend based on workload and performance.
