The Sutherland Group is seeking a Class 1 Lowbed Driver to safely transport heavy equipment across the Kootenays and surrounding regions. You will operate a lowbed truck and trailer, secure loads, and plan routes with proper permitting.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence required.
• Experience operating lowbed trailers.
• Haul oversize and overweight loads.
• Knowledge of provincial over-dimensional regulations.
• Able to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.
• Able to work in various weather conditions.

Responsabilités

• Operate lowbed truck and trailer hauling heavy equipment and machinery
• Transport oversize and overweight loads in compliance with provincial regulations
• Plan routes and ensure proper permitting for over-dimensional loads
• Safely load and secure equipment for transport
• Assist with loading/unloading equipment where required
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and equipment compliance
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and trip data using ISAAC system
• Ensure all loads are secured and transported safely
• Keep equipment clean and in safe working condition
