Job summary

The Sutherland Group of Companies is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver to transport wood residual fibre products across the Kootenays and surrounding regions. You will operate Super B and Quad configurations, perform inspections, secure loads, and maintain equipment to high standards.

This role offers year-round local work with home daily, rotating day/night shifts, overtime after 60 hours, and benefits. Competitive pay and strong safety culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

Class 1 license required.
Mountain driving experience preferred.
Willingness to do rotational shift work.
Two years trucking experience preferred.
Able to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre and post trip inspections on equipment.
Load and unload wood residual fibre products safely.
Ensure safe transport by securing loads during loading/unloading.
Tar vehicle using manual or auto tarps as available.
Chain-up vehicle based on road conditions.
Complete electronic records of hours, status and maintenance in ISAAC.
Keep trucks clean and safe at end of shift.
