Job summary

Fife House Foundation in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Part-Time Overnight Program Manager to supervise the overnight sites and ensure consistent operations across all locations. The role requires supervising Residential Support Workers and other staff, with a focus on staffing, performance, and budget oversight.

The position supports a 24-hour fixed schedule (Saturday and Sunday, noon to midnight) and reports to the Director, Programs and Operations.

Qualifications

Shift Rotation:

24-Hour Fixed Schedule (Saturday and Sunday), Noon to Midnight

Salary:

$32.00 an hour

Fife House is an innovative, client-focused provider of secure and supportive affordable housing and services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Toronto Area, with 103 staff working across 6 locations.

Fife House is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the full-time, management position of Part-Time Overnight Program Manager. The Part-Time Overnight Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring that operations remain consistent across the 3 overnight housing sites.

The Part-Time Overnight Program Manager will provide direct supervision to a range of staff such as Residential Support Workers, Personal Support Workers and Relief staff.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

Management Skills:

  • 4 or more years of proven management experience in a unionized, non-profit housing and/or support services environment
  • Direct experience supervising staff
  • Direct experience with performance management, specifically addressing work performance, conducting progressive discipline and probationary/annual performance reviews
  • Knowledgeable in concurrent disorders and harm reduction.
  • Proven budget management skills
  • Direct experience with developing and maintaining staffing schedules and payroll processes, approvals, etc.
  • Ability to work productively within a team setting, as well as independently
  • Proven experience in giving constructive feedback and receiving feedback
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement creative solutions
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning and analytical skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills that will facilitate effective, productive and appropriate relationships with the resident community, external agencies and staff of Fife House
  • Personal knowledge and lived experience of issues that affect communities and populations served by Fife House is a strong asset.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Highly developed conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Time flexibility is required
  • Skilled in Microsoft Suite
