Job description

As an Order Picker, you will help grow our online business and strengthen customer relationships by obtaining detailed lists of products needed to fill each order, prioritizing them, and preparing the products for customer pick-up or delivery in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Picking, organizing, staging, and verifying orders for delivery or pick-up
2. Accurately labeling and placing orders into specified holding areas until they are moved out of the store and loaded onto trucks
3. Utilizing appropriate lift truck equipment to prepare customer orders (training provided)
4. Using computer terminals and/or Home Depot portable phones to identify products and locations, check inventory, look up, and pick orders
5. Stocking merchandise onto shelves and organizing the sales floor
6. Loading orders onto delivery trucks

Experience/Knowledge Required:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule from Monday to Sunday nights (10 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Computer skills required; able to use desktops and smartphone apps
• Previous forklift and/or lift truck experience is an asset but not required
• Time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds repeatedly
• Detail-oriented; able to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated to complete tasks quickly and accurately

The pay range for this position is between $19.45 and $21.20.
