Job summary

The Home Depot Canada in Alberta is seeking an Order Picker to help grow our online business and customer relationships by assembling detailed product lists for each order and preparing items for pickup or delivery.

Responsibilities include picking, labeling, staging, inventory checks, and loading orders while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires overnight availability and strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible overnight schedule (Mon–Sun nights 10PM–6:30AM).
• Computer skills required; comfortable with desktops and apps on smartphones.
• Forklift/lift truck experience is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Picking, organizing, staging, and verifying orders for delivery or pick-up.
• Labeling and placing orders into holding areas until loaded for transport.
• Operate lift truck equipment (training provided).
• Use computer terminals or mobile devices to identify product, check inventory, and pick orders.
• Stock shelves and organize the sales floor.
• Load orders onto delivery trucks.

As an Order Picker, you will help continue to grow our online business and customer relationships by obtaining detailed list of product(s) necessary to fill each order, prioritizing them and picking the product ready for customer pick-up or delivery in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities

• Picking, organizing, staging and verify orders for delivery or pick-up
• Accurately labelling and placing orders into specified holding areas until moved out store and loaded onto the truck
• Utilize appropriate lift truck equipment to prepare customer orders (training provided)
• Utilize computer terminals and/or Home Depot portable phone to identify product & location, check inventory, look-up orders and pick orders
• Stocking merchandise onto shelves and organizing the sales floor
• Loading orders onto delivery trucks

Experience/Knowledge Required

• Able to work a flexible schedule Monday to Sunday nights (10PM – 6:30AM)
• Computer skills required; able to use desktops, apps on smart phones
• Previous forklift and/or lift truck experience is an asset but not required

Time Management And Organizational Skills Required

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift to fifty pounds repetitively
• Detail-oriented; able to work both independently and as part of a team; self-motivated to drive completion of tasks as quickly and accurately as possible
