Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to prepare and present high-quality dishes. You'll be responsible for ensuring that every plate leaving our kitchen meets the highest standards of taste and presentation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes according to recipe book and pictures
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following sanitation, food safety, hygiene, and other health and safety guidelines
• Check the quality of ingredients
• Train any second cook within the section
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar position
• Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Able to spend 100% of the time standing
• Must be fluent in English or French and 18 years or older
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Positive and collaborative team player attitude
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, overnight hours, and holidays
• Must have a valid Canadian working visa

Responsabilités :

• Préparer, cuisiner et présenter des plats de haute qualité selon le livre de recettes et les photos
• Préparer les postes de travail avec tous les ingrédients et le matériel de cuisine nécessaires
• Préparer les ingrédients pour la cuisson, comme hacher et éplucher les légumes et couper la viande
• Assurer une bonne présentation en dressant les plats avant qu’ils ne soient servis
• Maintenir la cuisine propre et organisée, en respectant les règles d'hygiène, de sécurité alimentaire, de santé et de sécurité
• Vérifier la qualité des ingrédients
• Former tout second cuisinier au sein de la section
• Effectuer d'autres tâches ou responsabilités, selon les besoins

Exigences :

• 2 ans d'expérience ou plus dans un poste similaire
• Capacité à recevoir des instructions et à travailler calmement et efficacement sous pression
• Capable de passer 100 % du temps debout
• Parler couramment l'anglais ou le français et être âgé de 18 ans ou plus
• Excellentes aptitudes à la communication, aux relations interpersonnelles et à l'organisation
• Attitude positive et esprit d'équipe
• Flexibilité pour travailler sur différents quarts de travail, y compris les week-ends, les soirées, les heures de nuit et les jours fériés
• Doit avoir un visa de travail canadien valide
