Job description

As an Order Picker/Night associate, you will help continue to grow our online business and customer relationships by obtaining a detailed list of product(s) necessary to fill each order, prioritizing them, and picking the product ready for customer pick-up or delivery in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Picking, organizing, staging, and verifying orders for delivery or pick-up.
  2. Accurately labeling and placing orders into specified holding areas until moved out of the store and loaded onto the truck.
  3. Utilizing appropriate lift truck equipment to prepare customer orders (training provided).
  4. Utilizing computer terminals and/or Home Depot portable phone to identify product & location, check inventory, look up orders, and pick orders.
  5. Stocking merchandise onto shelves and organizing the sales floor.
  6. Loading orders onto delivery trucks.

Experience/Knowledge Required:
  1. Able to work a flexible schedule Monday to Sunday nights (10PM – 6:30AM).
  2. Computer skills required; able to use desktops and apps on smartphones.
  3. Previous forklift and/or lift truck experience is an asset but not required.
  4. Time management and organizational skills required.
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to lift up to fifty pounds repetitively.
  7. Detail-oriented; able to work both independently and as part of a team; self-motivated to drive completion of tasks as quickly and accurately as possible.
