Looking for an experienced Pharmacist for Overlap. Position can be FT/PT/Flexible

SUMMARY:

To manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty, including providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to full scope in professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in maintaining the dispensary.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pharmacy and Customer Service: Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy, practice within federal/provincial, regulatory/legal requirements, ensure privacy requirements are met, provide counselling on prescriptions and products, practice to full extent of expanded scope, be identifiable to the public, ensure accuracy of prescriptions, communicate with healthcare professionals, and maintain required records.
  • Workflow and Inventory Management: Control access respecting confidentiality, review workflow queues daily, manage stock levels, identify expired inventory, oversee medication orders, and comply with regulations regarding controlled substances.
  • Operations: Maintain a professional environment, handle financial reports, respond to store communications, and file incident reports for any medication or privacy incidents.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to think independently and make decisions, plan and delegate tasks, lead by example, and support enterprise programs.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service, professionalism, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with pharmacy systems is an asset.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and complete mandatory and voluntary training as needed.
