We have partnered with our client, a leading full-service provider of engineered, manufactured, and distributed door systems and solutions for the commercial, industrial, and mining sectors, in search of an experiencedCommercial Overhead Door Technician Trainerwith strong leadership and training abilities to join our team. In this dual-role position, you will not only perform installations, repairs, and maintenance of commercial overhead doors and related equipment, but also mentor and train new technicians to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, enjoys teaching others, and thrives in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. Whether you are a few years into your profession or near the end of your career, we are willing to have a discussion with you.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Duties:

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial overhead doors, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, and dock equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical door systems, including motors, sensors, openers, and controls.
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections in compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Provide accurate reports and documentation of work performed.

Training & Leadership Duties:

  • Onboard, mentor, and train new technicians in the field and shop environment.
  • Lead by example with a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate company procedures, job expectations, and performance standards.
  • Support the Service Manager with scheduling, troubleshooting assistance, and quality assurance checks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial overhead door installation and service.
  • Strong knowledge of door hardware, operators, safety devices, and industry codes.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and train others in technical tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Mechanically inclined and able to lift heavy equipmen
