Location : Head office – Oakville, ON

Salary : $25 - $52 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About Us :

Rightway Crane & Manufacturing Ltd. (RWC) is a family-owned Canadian company with over 40 years of expertise in the overhead crane industry. We take pride in providing high-quality services, from installation to repair and maintenance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment. We are currently seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Service Technician to join our team in this full-time role.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform service, repair, inspections, and installations of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service requests , including after-hours and weekends when on call.
  • Travel periodically for t echnical service work, training, orientation, and educational purposes.
  • Complete daily documentation accurately and in a timely manner, utilizing Inspectall for inspection reports and QuickBooks for time tracking.
  • Work alongside a team of crane technicians ensuring effective collaboration and exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties assigned are based on the evolving needs of the business.

Required Qualifications and Skills :

  • Proven experience in the overhead crane industry.
  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical and electrical fields (309A Electrician recommended).
  • Solid understanding of overhead crane and construction equipment operations and mechanical functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team in a repair-focused environment.
  • Expertise in mechanical and electrical assemblies, with strong attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record.

  • Independent problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of pricing, discounting effects, and the business side of technical work.
