Job summary

Air Liquide Canada in Hamilton, ON is hiring an Outside/SMR Operator to ensure safe, efficient operation and maintenance of the Hamilton plant facilities. You will manage steam systems, cryogenic units, gas networks, and DCS/HMI controls to support production.

This role requires a 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineering Certificate and at least 3 years of industrial operations experience. You will perform chemical analyses, monitor environmental controls, and issue safe work permits.

Qualifications

• This position requires a 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineering Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain steam systems, industrial gas networks, cryogenic plants, and pipeline systems.
• Operate and maintain environmental control equipment.
• Operate equipment to support production units: cryogenic systems, turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, water treatment, steam/gas systems, distillation columns.
• Operate control systems (DCS and HMIs) to ensure safe, efficient operation of ASU and SMR facilities.
• Perform chemical analysis on process water, steam systems, industrial gases, and cryogenic liquids; adjust as needed.
• Provide isolation, lockouts, clearances, and safe work permits on utilities and equipment.
• Assist in energy isolation procedures and safe work practices.
