Job summary

Air Liquide Canada in Hamilton, ON is hiring an Outside/SMR Operator to oversee safe, efficient operation and maintenance of plant facilities, including steam systems, cryogenic units, and DCS/HMI control systems. You will perform chemical analyses, monitor environmental controls and issue safe work permits.

The role requires a 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineering Certificate and at least 3 years in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain steam systems, industrial gas networks, cryogenic plants, and pipeline systems.
Operate and maintain environmental control equipment.
Operate equipment supporting production units: cryogenic systems including turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, water treatment, steam/gas systems, distillation columns.
Operate DCS and HMIs to ensure safe and efficient ASU and SMR operations.
Perform chemical analysis on process water, steam, industrial gases and cryogenic liquids; adjust systems to maintain operations.
Provide isolation, lockouts, clearances, and safe work permits on utilities and equipment.
Assist in energy isolation procedures and safe work practices development.
