A leading HVAC-R distributor is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Montreal. The role includes driving equipment sales, collaborating with consulting engineers, and supporting the sales team through the entire process. The Outside Sales Representative will play an active role in the operational sales process, helping to drive and secure equipment sales. This individual will support specialized contractors and consulting engineers, respond to calls for tender, select equipment based on plans and specifications, and assist the sales team from the pre-project phase through to the completion of the sales cycle. They will also be responsible for proactively promoting the company and the full range of products it represents within the HVAC-R industry.
Build and maintain strong relationships within the HVAC-R industry.
Visit customers and job sites to provide support and gather insights.
Participate in industry events and conferences to stay connected and informed.
Perform equipment selections during the pre-project phase.
Collaborate with consulting engineers to ensure specified products align with project needs.
Analyze and qualify projects to be submitted by the internal sales team.
Validate and contribute to the preparation of product equivalence tables.
Promote the company’s supported equipment, including ventilation and heating solutions.
Provide leadership and coaching to the internal support and estimating teams.
Engage in all stages of the sales process, from initial contact to final delivery.
Prepare and submit bids for equipment pre-purchases.
Produce technical drawings when required.
Diploma in building mechanics, with relevant experience in the ventilation field.
Proven experience in technical sales or representation.
Established network within the HVAC-R industry: a strong asset.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Bilingualism (English/French) is required due to regular interactions with internal and external collaborators across The Master Group nationwide. Following a thorough evaluation, it has been determined that no alternative solution can meet the professional requirements of this role.
