Job description

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving new business development across multiple verticals, including property developers, retailers, and other commercial clients. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong background in large-format printing or related industries who can independently build and manage a book of business. You will focus on hunting new clients, following up on inactive accounts, and developing strategic relationships. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with regular face-to-face client visits. The base salary range is $70,000-$75,000, with earning potential through commissions and bonuses.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:
  • This role is a hybrid position with flexibility to work remotely and from the office as needed
  • Primary focus on the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding regions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
  • 5 - 10 years of sales experience, preferably in large format printing or related industries
  • Proven track record in new business development and managing client relationships
  • Comfortable working independently in a small business environment without micromanagement
  • Ability to identify and pursue multiple vertical markets, including retail, property development, and car wrapping
  • Strong technical understanding of large format printing products and services
  • Previous experience in sales roles requiring hunting for new clients rather than relying on inbound leads
EDUCATION
  • Post-Secondary
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for reporting and presentations
  • Strong understanding of large-format printing products and related technical specifications
  • Ability to interpret client brand guidelines and prepare print-ready materials
  • Familiarity with sales processes in printing, signage, or related industries
  • Competence in managing CRM tools and tracking sales activities

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION-MAKER(S):
  • Retailers across multiple verticals, including property developers and car wrapping companies
  • Large enterprise clients with ongoing signage and print needs
  • Clients requiring large-format printing solutions
  • Decision-makers include marketing managers, brand managers, and procurement officers within client organizations
  • Focus on building relationships with new business prospects and managing existing accounts through referrals and direct outreach
TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES
  • Develop new business by identifying and pursuing multiple verticals, including property developers, retailers, and the car wrapping sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively hunting for new accounts.
  • Follow up on inactive accounts to generate sales opportunities.
  • Conduct face-to-face client visits at their locations and shops, focusing on new business development.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with the internal marketing team, but primarily focus on outbound sales efforts.
  • Coordinate with project managers and internal teams to ensure smooth handoff of projects post-sale.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote the company’s products and services.
OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:
  • Minimal to no overnight travel required; primarily local or regional client visits with flexibility for occasional travel as needed
