Intercity Packers is the largest meat / seafood distribution company in Western Canada and part of the Gordon Food Service (GFS).

Position and Details

Position : Full Time Permanent

Location : Candidate can be located anywhere in Interior BC. Preference for those located in Kelowna Kamloops or Penticton.

Schedule : Monday to Friday business hours.

Travel : Minimal. Will be required to travel to the Lower Mainland a few times a year.

Salary and Allowance : 100% commission! Candidate will start on salary structure for a maximum of six (6) months. They may choose to opt in to commission structure earlier. Salary structure will be based on a range of $75,000-$100,000 per year. Plus car allowance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy for your assigned accounts to ensure attainment of company sales goals and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for total growth through analysis and sales insights.
• Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
• Collaboratively work with internal departments in particular Product Development & Operations.
• Respectfully and capably represents the best interests of Intercity Packers in all internal and external dealings.
• Builds relationships with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and ability to travel as required.
• Direct-selling and account management experience required.
• Sales experience in a protein food service company is required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.
• Effective communication in an open and direct manner; conveys information clearly and concisely with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline preferred or other job related equivalent business experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Proficiency with the Google Suite (Docs Sheets Hangouts Slides).
