United Natural Foods, Inc. seeks a proactive Field Sales Representative to cover York Region (Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Newmarket) and drive growth with new and existing customers.

This full-time contract role (6 months) features base salary plus commission and a vehicle allowance; benefits are not included due to contract terms. Requires extensive territory travel and strong communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Job Overview:

To cover designated territory developing potential customers and maintaining existing customers at projected sales levels.

Location/Territory: this role services accounts in York Region (Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Newmarket, Mount Albert, Keswick, and other areas assigned)

Job Type: Full Time Contract (6 months) - please note due to temporary contract, this role does not include Benefits

Job Responsibilities:

• Time and territory management to accomplish daily, weekly and monthly sales goals including defining market demographics, competitor analysis, prospecting new business and existing account knowledge.
• Participate with UNFI Sales team to effectively maintain existing accounts, develop new business and address operational issues.
• Provide accurate and complete sales reports to Sales Manager in a timely manner.
• Submit appropriate and timely account information for all new and existing accounts for input into the UNFI information system.
• Participate in continuing education programs regarding company products, services and industry compliances.
• Document and resolve customer complaints.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Post-Secondary education and/or equivalent related experience and training.
• Valid G-class driver’s license or equivalent required

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Sales
• Understanding of related computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)

Experience:

• Previous sales experience (preferably in a B2B capacity)
• Previous experience in organic/natural Consumer Packaged Goods sales is an asset
• Computer experience preferred (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Goal oriented self-starter with high energy level and competitive spirit
• Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned area

Work Environment:

Onsite Role:

• This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a customer, distribution center or office.

Travel (major):

• Travel isrequiredup to 100%for this position.

Compensation:

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
